Cat Sitting

Most cats hate staying away from home and being confined to a cattery. Cats are very territorial animals, so they are less stressed and happier in their own environment where they feel safe and secure. Placing cats into

boarding facilities can cause undue stress and anxiety for both pet and owner, this is where A1 Animal Care can help.

Our Cat Sitting Service offers a kinder alternative to catteries. Your cat will stay in its own home and enjoy the comfort of familiar sights, sounds and smells. Staying in their usual home environment and daily routine will help reduce the potential of undue stress. It is the perfect alternative to cattery boarding or imposing upon friends and neighbours.

We will visit your cat at home, allowing him/her the freedom and home comforts it is used to, whilst maintaining your cats normal daily routine. Our Cat Sitting Visits are available between 6am-10pm, 365 days a year.

A visit lasts a full 20mins, working from your instructions, we will feed and water, play with and fuss your cat, clean litter trays and dishes etc. Our service is tailored to each cat and owners individual needs. We will also update you on how your cat is doing via text message giving you total piece of mind.

Having done voluntary work at Veterinary Centres means we are experienced and competent at administering medication orally or diabetic insulin injections, should your  animal be on such medication from your vet.

In addition, we can also bring in mail, put out rubbish bins, open and close curtains, water plants and turn lights on and off. Your home will generally have that ‘lived in’ look during your absence, which provides the bonus of heightened security for your premises whilst you are away. We also use unmarked vehicles to increase security to your home.

An initial consultation visit is made in your home before confirmation of a booking. This consultation is free of charge. This visit allows us the opportunity to meet your cat and for your cat to meet us, also to discuss the level of care your cat needs, go through their daily routine and answer any questions you may have. We will also bring with us our insurance policy and documents, CRB/ Police Check, animal first aid certificates and contactable references from our many happy customers.
